York Library Change Location

These reservable spaces are available to all York and QHSS students, and are designated for collaborative work.

When can we reserve the room?

Rooms are available on first-come, first-served basis. Rooms can be reserved ten days in advance using the reservation system.

How many people do we need to reserve a room?

Groups must be comprised of at least three individuals with a maximum of eight individuals. At least three people are required to enter the room.

How long may we use the room?

Rooms are assigned for two-hour time blocks. If you fail to pick up the room key within 15 minutes of the reservation time you may lose your reservation. Groups may not stay beyond the two-hour period, even if no one else has reserved the room.

If there are no rooms open, use the reservation system to secure the next available room. If you have not picked up the room key within 15 minutes of your reservation time, the room may be given away to someone else.

Who can reserve rooms?

Only current York College and Queens High School for the Sciences students, with valid York and New York City Department of Education IDs, respectively, may reserve rooms for group study.

York College Library has 14 group study rooms for use beginning when the Library opens in the morning until 30 minutes prior to the Library’s evening closing. Group study rooms are intended as a place for students to work and study together. They are not intended for individual study or socializing.
